PlayCaller ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
The short version: We collect what we need to run the Service. We don't sell your personal data. You can delete your account and data at any time.
By using PlayCaller, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy. This Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Terms of Service.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Email address — required to create an account and receive service notifications
- Name — optional, used to personalize your experience
- Password — stored as a cryptographic hash; we never store your plain-text password
Fantasy League Data
When you connect your fantasy platform (e.g., Sleeper) to PlayCaller, we collect:
- League roster, scoring settings, and league configuration
- Your team's players, starting lineup, and waiver wire history
- Matchup schedules and head-to-head records
- Trade offers and transaction history
This data is accessed via official third-party APIs or OAuth authorization flows and is used solely to power your PlayCaller experience.
Usage & Analytics Data
- Pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the app
- Session duration, click events, and feature engagement
- Device type, browser, and general geographic region (country/state level)
- IP address (for security and fraud prevention)
Payment Information
PlayCaller does not store your credit card number or bank account details. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. We retain:
- Stripe customer ID (a token linking your account to Stripe's systems)
- Subscription status, plan type, and billing history
- Last 4 digits of card and card expiration date (provided by Stripe for display purposes)
Communications
If you contact us by email, we retain those communications to respond and improve our support. We may send you service emails (account confirmations, renewal reminders, feature updates) related to your account.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate the Service — authenticate your account, process your leagues, generate AI recommendations
- Personalize your experience — tailor briefings, lineup advice, and trade analysis to your specific roster and league
- Process payments — manage your subscription status and billing records via Stripe
- Communicate with you — send renewal reminders, feature announcements, and support responses
- Improve the Service — analyze usage patterns to fix bugs and prioritize product improvements
- Ensure security — detect fraud, abuse, and unauthorized account access
- Comply with legal obligations — respond to lawful requests and enforce our Terms of Service
AI Model Improvement
We may use aggregated, anonymized usage data to improve the accuracy of PlayCaller's AI models. We do not use identifiable personal data or specific league details to train AI models without your consent.
4. Third-Party Services
Stripe (Payment Processing)
We use Stripe, Inc. to process subscription payments. When you subscribe, your payment information is transmitted directly to Stripe. PlayCaller does not receive or store raw card data. Stripe's privacy practices are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Sleeper & Fantasy Platforms
When you authorize PlayCaller to access your Sleeper account (or other fantasy platform accounts), we receive data from those platforms via their APIs. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Kalshi (Prediction Markets)
PlayCaller may display or link to player prop markets on Kalshi. If you click through to Kalshi and create an account or trade, Kalshi's privacy policy governs their handling of your data. PlayCaller may receive aggregate referral data (clicks, sign-ups) from Kalshi for affiliate commission purposes — this does not include your trading activity or personal financial data on Kalshi.
Analytics & Infrastructure
We use infrastructure providers (hosting, database, CDN) that process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. We select providers committed to data security and privacy standards.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share data only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers — trusted vendors who help us operate PlayCaller (hosting, payment processing, analytics) under confidentiality and data processing agreements
- Legal requirements — when required by law, court order, or government authority
- Business transfers — if PlayCaller is acquired, merged, or its assets transferred, your data may transfer as part of that transaction; we will notify you beforehand
- With your consent — for any other purpose with your explicit permission
6. Data Retention
We retain your data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account:
- Personal account data (email, name) is deleted within 30 days
- Fantasy league data is deleted within 30 days
- Aggregated, anonymized analytics data may be retained for product improvement
- Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers
- Password hashing using industry-standard cryptographic algorithms
- Access controls limiting employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis
- Regular security reviews of our infrastructure

8. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated personal data
- Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format where technically feasible
- Opt-out of marketing — unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time via the unsubscribe link or by contacting us

California Residents (CCPA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. 10. Children's Privacy
PlayCaller is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will promptly delete their account and associated data. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us at hello@playcallerapp.com.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice within the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
