PlayCaller verdict: Accept
You have WR depth but are starting a handcuff at RB2. Adding a top-10 RB with three favorable matchups remaining solves your biggest hole. The WR you're sending is replaceable given your roster. The RB isn't.
Why trade value calculators get it wrong
Most trade analyzers compare player values and tell you if the trade is "even." That misses the point. A "bad" trade by value can be the right move for your team, and a "good" trade can leave you worse off.
PlayCaller evaluates trades on what actually matters: does this trade make your team better positioned to win your league? That depends on your roster, your scoring settings, and what each player is actually producing, not generic value scores alone.
What the analysis covers
Roster impact
Does this trade fill a genuine hole or trade strength for strength? Evaluated against your specific lineup slots.
Real performance data
The last 4 games each player actually played, scored in your league's format: what players have done, not projected value.
Injury risk
Current injury status of both sides flagged. A favorable trade can flip if you're receiving a player who's questionable.
Market value
FantasyCalc market values for every player in the deal, summed for each side, so you can see what the market thinks alongside the production.
Scoring format
PPR vs. standard changes player values significantly. Production is scored PPR, half-PPR or standard to match your league.
Dynasty context
Dynasty and keeper leagues weight age and long-term upside. A 24-year-old breakout player isn't valued the same as a 31-year-old veteran.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if a fantasy trade is fair?
A trade is fair when it improves your team's weakest spots relative to what you're giving up, not just when player values are equal. PlayCaller evaluates trades based on your roster's specific needs and what position you actually need help at.
What data does PlayCaller's trade analyzer use?
Each player's last 4 games, scored in your league's format (PPR, half-PPR or standard), current injury status, market trade values from FantasyCalc (dynasty or redraft to match your league), and PlayCaller's validated NFL confidence model. PlayCaller grades what players have actually done, not just projected value.
Does the trade analyzer work for dynasty leagues?
Yes. PlayCaller supports dynasty and keeper leagues. For dynasty trades, the analysis weights long-term value and age curves rather than just in-season performance.
Can I use the trade analyzer for NBA and MLB fantasy trades?
Not yet. The trade analyzer covers NFL leagues today. NBA, MLB and NHL trades aren't supported.
"Connected it to my Sleeper league and the trade analyzer actually flagged something I had been considering for weeks. The daily briefing is the part I didn't expect to use this much."
